"And when it is said to them, Follow what Allah has revealed, they say: Nay! we follow what we found our fathers upon. What! and though their fathers had no sense at all, nor did they follow the right way."
(Surah No: 2 & Verse No: 170)
We are so called social animals and we like the sociability and all these things were taught in our childhood, how to behave with elders, what to eat, what to wear, what to like or what dislike, what is good and what is bad means all kinds of information about society and civilization was given us in our childhood. Who trained us and shifted us from an animal to a social animal and understand our social responsibilities They are our father, uncles, mothers, grandfather and teachers.
This training become so stabilize in our mind that we can not oppose this ideology in our own mind. Religion is one of the things to whom we learned from our parents and forefathers, without knowing any thing we dance and stand in front of the idols, respect the Jesus in the church, bow down in the temples and say our prayers in the mosque. We do not know but we indulge in the same passion and thoughts as our fathers and parents doing. We not only like the ways, traditions and other religious activities but also with a passage of time we have firm believe in that things.
After this firm believe a stage came when we do not even listen a single word against them, we will oppose all those forces who are against our gods and goddess. We will even kill them on the name of our gods and goddess because we have firm believe that we are right. Now the question is we never try to find this basic question that weather our parents are really walking on the right path, they have sense to know what is good and what is bad. In many things we do not follow the paths of our father.
In our forefathers time there is no internet, mobile, Google, Skype, television, planes, ships and modern technologies etc we do not think that they are genius in that things and in the technology. We know that all of them are illiterate in these matters and had no sense at all. But we never admit the same thing in the matter of religion, we think that they are genius and super natural forces met them. We believe that they will never ever be wrong in the matter of religion. Why we think like that? Do you have the reason to believe like that?. Why we do not break this idol in our inner for worshiping our own forefathers. We know at this time that they had no sense and they are not moving in the right direction then why we do not have courage to leave their traditions and follow the Islam and bow our head in front of one Lord.
This seems difficult but not impossible we must revisit or rethink about our own thoughts and we will get rid all those traditions which we follow on the name of religion from our childhood. We all need to explore the true path and it is our own duty and we can't shift this responsibility on our forefathers shoulders. If they can't find the right path then it is our duty to provide a right path for our own children.
